Installation Wavefrontier by Duwgati
This page handles the installation process of one Wavefrontier dish with 12 LNB's.

Which hardware do you need:
Well, have a look at the diagram:

As you can see, you need 1 diseqc switch for every 4 LNB's.
If you have only 4 4 LNB's, one diseqc is then enough, you can connect the cable directly from your Dreambox to your switch.

But when you have more then 4 LNB's, you'll need more then 1 switch as shown in the diagram. With the Dreambox it is possible to setup a installation like this using a special switch between the diseqc's. In the diagram it is the Spaun.

Setup the dish including the LNB's and aim it all correctly so that you receive a signal on every LNB you have. Now you can setup the Dreambox. It is good to do some prepared work.

To install the Wavefrontier it is good to use the tool "Wavefrontier LNB settings installation sheet", made by Holles. This tool calculates the position of the LNB from the wanted satellites on the Wavefrontier rail so mounting these will make life much easier, see the pictures! You can download this tool via our downloadsection.

Make a list for your own with all satellites you can receive now. Also write down on which LNB it is received and which diseqc channel it is connected.

Some note's:
- the Dreambox starts counting the LNB's with 0
- diseqc channels are not nuimberd with 1 till 4 but with A/A, A/B, B/A and B/B

Mine LNB-configuration (12 LNB's) looks likes follows:

In this list you can see everything you need to setup the configuration.

Configuration of your Dreambox:
When there is allready a settingslist in the box go to the satellietconfiguration-menu. If you don't know how to do it look here.

If you did not load a settingslist into the box (or when you did erase it), the Dreambox will ask you a few questions:

- which language you want to use
- the timezone you are in
- which diseqc configuration you use

This last question gives you three possibilities to choose from:

- 1 single satellite (no diseqc)
- 1 diseqc (Simple)
- complex diseqc configuration

Choose the first option, 1 single satellite.

I know that you have more satellites/LNB's, but we are gonna do a trick to make the setup more easier.

It can be that you receive a warning that the diseqc configuration is not correct. If it is so you will see:

Press "Ja" or "Yes" to delete the old setup.

The satelliteconfiguration-menu, will now look like this:

Now you have more options to realise the setup. I'll explain only one now, I think it is the fastest way to do it.

Choose from the upper menu the pre-last option.
In this German version it is "Mehrere Satelliten mit DiSEqC Rotor".

It is not correct, beacause you don't have a rotor, but it is a fast way to setup all satellite-positions in the menu and to delete the unused satellites. It is more comfortable then to add all satellites by hand.

It depends on the number of LNB's you have to add or to delete them.

If you prefere to add them one by one, just choose the last option: "Nicht Standard - benutzerdefinierte Konfiguration".

I assume you used the DiSEqC Rotor option, you'll see the satellite list:

Now the moment has come to declare which satellites you can receive or not. Delete the satellites you can't receive. You can do this to select the satellite and press the red lame button.

LNB- and Switch-configuration:
After deleting the wright satellites you must fill in onhow the LNB can be activated.

Oké, with the Excel list with you, we go addept the configuration in the Dreambox.

Click on the first satellite. It is the satellite who is connected to LNB 0.

PAY ATTENTION: You must addept the list following the LNB setup by number. So start with LNB 0 and follow your list.

Once you selected the first satellite, you'll see this screen.

Here you fill in the correct LNB number. Standard they are all at 0, so it has to be changed. That's why a list is very handy. Did you change the number? Select the blue button and you see the next screen.

Do not change Toneburst. It is not used in this configuration. The Diseqc modus must be changed. So click on the Diseqc modus and see the possibilities.

Choose the diseqc version 1.1 (NOT the version 1.2 as shown in this EXAMPLE). Now you see even more possibilities.

Addept the following setups:

- DiSEqC Parameter - the diseqc number in your list (diseqc #)
- Uncommitted Switch - the switch number from your list (switch #)
- further select the option 8 ("Kommandos tauschen)

Leave other options as they are.

Press the green button to save the settigs. Repeat it for all satellites (LNB's) you have.

When you're finished with all this do an automatic transpondersscan, or load a complete settingslist.

Download the settings and look in the FAQ - First Steps overview page from point 9.5!
