All emu's must be configured to function in your specific situation. Below to see you an example. These screenshot is from a little older GBox Emu Settings menu.

I do not want discuss the details of the emulator here. That will become too technical. But there is a thing which you must know concerning the location of the keys and how the Dreambox/Emu handles with that. That is regulated by the option Key Files (to see screenshot). You can choose in nearly all Emu's between/var/tmp and/var/keys (or like above shortened reflected tmp).
The keys are stored in the directory /var/keys, but..... the moment you start up the Dreambox, a copy of the var/keys directory is made to the directoy /var/tmp. With those keys in the directory /var/tmp the emulator starts to work. And when you turn off the Dreambox yourselve, a copy to the oponened side /var/keys is made.
When you want to do a key-update, you must do it therefore in the /var/tmp directory. If you does not do that there but into the /var/keys directory the new keys automatically get overwritten at the next time that you turn off the Dreambox. Click here to go back to the "Dreambox for Dummies" page
