Step 3: Connect your Dreambox as written in your manual!

Step 4: If you use the original firmware from Dream Multimedia please continue at step 9! With this firmware you must use a Common Interface together with your T.V. card! See also step 9.7!

Step 5: If you want to use a different, new or alternative firmware / image, download this one and unzip it if necessary. You must have a "name.img"!

Step 6: A many used alternative image comes from PLi®, you can find some nice adjustments in the image. You can download them at the PLi-images.org website!

Step 7: To patch your Dreambox with a new firmware / image, you need to use DreamUp or DreamUp Lan. More info in FAQ - flashing

Step 8: After the "Flash erase" your Dreambox is ready for use!

Step 9: After the reboot, you select your time and language, now you fill in your settings! P.s. With the red Lame- or Exit button is it possible to go out of a submenu!

1. Druk op de Dream-knop op je afstandbediening en ga met je links/rechts knoppen door het menu en klik op Instellingen.

1. Push the Dream-button on your remote-control and go with te left/right button through the menu and click at Setup.

2. Use the High/Low buttons to go to the menu where you can fill in the Satellite Configuration. Here it's also possible to do a Transponderscan, at this moment of writing this manual it's called "Service Searching". Please fill in your own Diseqc-Satellite Configuration and your rotorsettings. Pay attention that you don't switch longitude) and latitude!

3. Now you can do an Automatic or Manual Transponder Scan, at this moment of writing this manual it's called "Automatic / Manual Transponder Scan"

4. Myself I like to use complete Settingslists e.g. from Hackweb, these are Up To Date Radio and TV-lists and you can find them at our downloadsection and the How to at the FAQ - Settingseditor. This way you don't have to make the settings yourself! If you use a settinglist you don't have to do a Transponderscan.

5. After this you adjust the Audio/Video settings, at this moment of writing you can do this at "System Settings => A/V Settings". With RGB the red, green and blue picture components are separated and each other provided to the TV, in the TV they are joined together to a TV-signal. It is clear that this gives you the best results. In Europe RGB is through a Scart-connector. Gave in your TV measurements, 4:3 or 16:9. 16:9 TV owners select "Disable WSS on 4:3" for a good TV image.

6. If you have a harddisk in your Dreambox then you must format this after installing. You do this at Harddisc Setup, advised is to use the EXT3 format!

7. When you have a Common Interface you initialise this and you put your TV card in your CI.

8. For your Network-Settings you go to Communication Setup by Expert Setup (at this moment of writing). Fill in your correct settings, also read network at "FAQ"!

9. If you want a new TV Skin then you select one at Skin Setup. Or upload one first as written in the skin readme,txt! Now Enigma asks you the question "Restart Now?" You say NO, first we have to fill in some other settings.

10. If you don't want to see errors in your screen you select "Hide Error Windows"!

11. If you use an alternative image you can select the Emu you want at "Emu Settings", Romu is a many used emu! By using an alternative image with an emu it is necessary to gave in the correct keys into your Dreambox. The easiest way is to use the Keyfile Updater 2.0.4 from tCC. This program converts and copy's the keys in the correct directories. An other possibility to keep your keys up to date is to use the internet and the SoftCam.Key update. Make with wordpad the file keyupdate.url with the correct internetaddress in it and FTP this file to /var/etc/keyupdate.url. In the Emu Menu you cab select update.

Step 10: Reboot the Dreambox, the settings you just gave in will be saved at the same time.

Step 11: Enjoy watching T.V.!
