How to place to harddisk in my Dreambox?

Install manual harddisk!
Do you still have a Dreambox with a serial that starts with a 2... Then it is recommended to modificate your powersupply. Otherwise the movies playd from your harddisk will not play smoothly. Your dealer can do this for you for free! When you have a serial that starts with a 3, you can recognize them with the amber colour lcd screen, the modification is done allready in the Dream Factory!

Before we install a Hard Disk, we need to know if the hard Disk is supported by Dream-Multimedia!!!

If 1 of the listed Hard Disks is the same as yours, you have got a good Hard Disk and we can start installing. To do this we need the Cableset which is included in the Box.

The info below is based on the DM7000 box.

Remove the screws at the side of the DreamBox and remove the screws at the back of the DreamBox.

Remove the hood of the DreamBox.

Remove the braces and place the harddisk in them.

Connect the Cables at the same way as on the picture. The red wire should point to the card-readers. and the IDE Cable should be above the Power Cables!

Place the Hard Disk including the braces back in position.

The connections must be positioning to the front!

Slowly put the Braces back in position and make shure it is in the holes!

Fold at the same time the IDE-cable between the frame and the harddisk, so it is not over the processor. When you fold it beween the frame and harddisk, the processor can cool much better then with the IDE-cable over it as shown at the Dream-Multimeadia way!

Place the hood back in position and screw it whole again.

Format the harddisk via the menu!
