The installation and configuration of a rotor, Stab diseqc 1.2

You need: - a pre-programmed FTA channel of the Sirius satellite, you can use a rotating satellitelist for that from our download section together with HappyLLama's DreamboxEditor. - a compas and a satbeeper, otherwise it's very hard! - A4-page. - little rope with some weight. - on thist A4-page you draw a triangle with the elevation angle on it, For The Netherland this is 38 degrees. - draw it a big as possible, for 38 degrees this is 21x26cm.

1) * The installation point has to be on spirit level. * Install the rotor to the post. * Now you hold the A4-page with a little rope with the short side on the downside of the rotor as shown on the picture. * The rope must be spirit with the long side of the triangle. * Thighten the rotor, now the have the correct elevationangle. * Place the dish on the rotor (on the stripe!). * The declinationangle must be set on 33 degrees for The Netherlands. (see the manual for your angle) * Be sure that the rotor is at 0 degrees. * Reset the rotor, how to do this is at your manual (wrong settings will be deleted) * Choose the preprogrammed Siruis FTA Channel. * Go to the Signal Detection in the menu. * Aim your dish and rotor at the Sirius satellite, this is at 5 degrees east but the magnetic south so easy to find! * When you use the satbeeper DO NOT place the rotor inbetween, this can diturb the USALS of the rotor! * Turn the dish horizontal and vertical in little steps untill the satbeeper shows you the strongest signal, you can check it in the menu. * You can even zap between the two FTA channels on the Sirius: Sirius and DTS Channel. * When you recieve the maximum signal you tighten the dish. * Shut the Dreambox down and change the satbeeper for the rotor.

2) * Restart the Dreambox. * Goto the Settingsmenu of the Dreambox. * Choose "Complex" at Satellite Congiguration voor "Complex". * Choose Rotorsettings. * Click at "use rotor input power" and fill in the number 70 instead of 40 now * Click at "use gotoXX function". * Fill in your longitude and latitude you can find the at here and press the green button. * Reboot the Dreambox and start scanning your satellites or use a settingslist.
